Rancho Murieta, California
Rancho Murieta is a census-designated place (CDP) and guard-gated community in Sacramento County, California, United States. It is part of the Sacramento–Arden-Arcade–Roseville Metropolitan Statistical Area. The population was 5,488 at the 2010 census, up from 4,193 at the 2000 census. It is located in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada range, about east of Sacramento.

Rancho Murieta is located at 38°30′11″N, 121°5′5″W (38.503068, -121.084643)GR1.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of , of which, of it is land and of it (1.50%) is water. The principal east-west access route is California State Highway 16, the Jackson Highway, which connects Rancho Murieta with the Sacramento metropolitan area.
